Long upper lip

Long upper lip

Surgical approach

Modified special facelift

The upper lip can be too long due to heredity or aging. To shorten it, a horizontal incision is made at the base of the nose. Using a modified technique by Dr. Fanous, half of the incision is concealed inside both nostrils. Complications are possible but unlikely, as with any surgery: hypertrophic scars, asymmetry, hematoma, anesthesia-related side effects, etc.

Lip augmentation for thin lips

Thin lips are a sign of aging. If you are relatively young but born with thin lips, you may appear older than your actual age. If you have thin lips, they are usually corrected by injection shortly after the facelift. Injecting these thin lips will give you a younger and softer look.
